Frequently asked questions.
What types of businesses do you work with?
I focus on founder-led and small-to-mid-market businesses—typically between $500K and $20M in revenue—that are ready for a strategic shift. Many are navigating a major transition like scaling up, preparing for sale, or passing the reins to the next generation. I’ve also worked extensively with professional service providers, lifestyle brands, and mission-driven organizations that want the rigor of big-firm strategy without the bureaucracy or ego.
Do I have to be in Minnesota to work with you?
Not at all. While I love working with Twin Cities–based businesses in person, most of my strategy and facilitation work is designed to run seamlessly over Google Meet, shared documents, and virtual workshops. Whether you’re across town or across the country, the process stays just as structured and collaborative.
What does working together actually look like?
You won’t get a binder of “recommendations” that sits on a shelf. I move quickly from insight to action. That means:
We start with a deep dive to clarify your goals and biggest roadblocks.
I map out a clear plan—what to tackle first, how to execute it, and who’s doing what.
We work side by side to make changes happen in real time, not just talk about them.
How long does the process take?
That depends on your needs and scope.
Quick-turn engagements (like my 4-week Strategy & Execution Blueprint) give you a targeted plan you can act on immediately.
Ongoing partnerships (like my monthly retainers) typically run 3–12 months, so we can tackle bigger initiatives and build momentum without losing steam.
How much should I budget?
My packages start at $10K for a focused engagement and ongoing strategy and execution retainers start at $4k up to $12k. I’ll always scope a custom proposal based on your goals, but I’m transparent about investment from the start so you can make a confident decision.
How involved do I need to be?
Your involvement is critical—you know your business better than anyone. I typically ask for at least 60 minutes a week during active phases for check-ins, decision-making, and input. I’ll take on as much of the heavy lifting as possible, but your insight ensures we’re building something that fits your vision and values. Some engagements require more time from you and your team. I’ll be clear on what I need from you when we review your customized proposal.
Will you help with execution, or just strategy?
Both. I don’t just hand you a plan—I help make it happen. In most engagements, I take the driver’s seat on execution for the first few weeks, then transition the systems and processes to your team so you can keep momentum long-term.
What’s the first step if I’m interested?
Book a discovery call. We’ll talk through your goals, challenges, and priorities, and I’ll share how I’d approach your situation. If it feels like the right fit, I’ll send over a tailored proposal so you can move forward with clarity.
